Meeting called to order 7:00 pm.  Chair McCarty verified a quorum with Sgt. of Arms Doug Kotrba.
Invocation: Steve Cofchin.  Pledge of Allegiance:  Dough Kotrba.  Secretary's Report: Jean Miller
requested adoption as mailed with notice of meeting.  Kate Freeburg so moved.  Steve Cofchin seconded.
Minutes approved.  Treasurer's Report:  Erika Cramner announced that we had refiled with the PDC to correct a previous omission.  Report accepted by PDC and filed for audit.
 
State Committeeman Steve Cofchin reported on the WSRP  Executive Board retreat at Leavenworth on March 30 and 31, 2007.The main focus was on moving the presidential primary from August to February; and if the party should select the delegates to the national presidential convention via caucus only or by a percentage from the primary process.  The state party had a poll that favored a February Primary or Caucus and selecting our delegates/ candidates via the caucus process.  The decision has not yet been made.  Send comments to: Scofchin@comcast.net.
 
State Committeewoman Marlyn Jensen agreed with Steve's report and added that the WSRP Auction Fund Raiser Dinner on 5 May 2007 was a great success.  Five hundred and sixty people attended and the party raised $130,000.  The Republican Party is excited and ready to take back our majorities.
 
Chair Report:  Deryl McCarty will attend the State Central Committee meeting in two weeks when the final rules for the state and county conventions will be confirmed.  Who can file as a Republican will be determined by caucus at the convention.  Legislative districts that include more than one county will  select the candidates proportional to the voters from each county.
 
Chair McCarty is a member of a  Blue Ribbon Commission to assist the Pierce County Auditor in conducting the "Instant Run Off Voting" process that was suggested by the Charter Review Commission and approved by the voters.  The Pierce County Council is submitting an additional change to make the sheriff a non partisan race.
 
Schedule changes include a Central Committee Meeting Saturday 28 July in order to endorse candidates for the August primary.

Saving: $31,611.97, Checking Exempt: $1,912.41.  PDC Reports up to date.  Memberships:  One Winner of $500., one Benefactor of $250, twenty five Century Club of $100 each, one hundred four Joint members of
$30., and eighty nine single memberships at $15.00 each.  Report filed for audit.
 
State Committeewoman Marlyn Jensen gave a detailed report of the March 30 - 31st WSRP Exec. Board meeting held in Leavenworth on March 30 -31, 2007.  marjen44@comcast.net for details.
 
Candidate's Committee:  Deryl encouraged all present to run or seek candidates for the non partisan offices.  All candidates seeking the endorsement of the PCRP must ask in writing.  The Candidates Committee will study the request and make a recommendation to the PCRP Central Committee. The Chair will call a Central Committee Meeting after filing in July, and another right after the Primary Election.

McCarty:  Requests for WSRP to endorse Initiatives will be discussed at the state E-Board meeting.

Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM.  Chair McCarty verified quorum.  Invocation by Steve Cofchin (29).
Flag Salute led by Jose Leos (25).  Minutes of November 13, 2006 meeting were mailed to each member.
Secretary Jean Miller (2) requested a motion to accept the minutes as mailed.  John Perry (25) so moved. Kate Freeberg (31) seconded.  Motion passed.  Treasurer's report: Ericka Cramner.  See attached.  Report filed for audit.
 
State Committeeman Steve Cofchin (29):  Positions were reapportioned to give Pierce and Snohomish Counties two members each on the Executive Board of The WSRP.  Steve and our State Committee woman, Marlyn Jensen(26) are now both on the state E-Board.  PCRP bylaws will have to be updated to accommodate the new ruling.  With newly elected WSRP Chair Luke Esser comes a new political director, executive director, executive assistant, accountant and technical director(IT).  Andrea Innes (25) will remain as finance director.  Olga Miller is vice chair.
 
Chair McCarty reported all PCRP committee assignments were in place except a finance chair.  This year the Party needs to write a plan to receive and disperse money via the Legislative District Committees.
 
Washington State National Committeewoman Fredi Simpson was our special guest.  She spoke of the activities of the RNC Co-chairs Mike Duncan and U.S.Senator Mel Martinez who are putting together a plan to take back Republican majorities.  The word is "Stay Positive."  The RNC Convention will be in Minnesota in 2008.  Fredi would like to hear about your concerns and suggestions.  www.gop.com.
